Robert is a director, arranger, voice coach, and organizer based in the SF Bay Area. He directed The Jabberwocks of Brown University, where he received several CARA nominations for his arrangements. Since moving to the Bay Area in 2017, Robert sang with Fog City Singers (BHS International top-10), and co-founded The A Cappella Collective which he continues to direct. He also sings with Ro Sham Bo (2018 Harmony Sweepstakes Finalists), and is the Music Director for Techapella 501C3, supporting company-based a cappella groups and leaders. He received training in contemporary voice pedagogy from BAST based out of the UK - training which grew his effectiveness as a director, and led to building a private teaching studio, The Vocal Gym subscription program, and regular corporate sessions for Google and Pinterest. Robert also organizes Drop-In A Cappella and The A Cappella Salon, and runs the Learn Vocal Harmony YouTube channel teaching vocal harmonies to popular songs. Most recently, he is leaning into working with high school students with The High School Collective program, and mentoring other music directors.
